The
Challenge - Energy for Growth
Providing
the power to change
Along
the lifeline of the mighty Mississippi, a
vital resource is being built to generate
new currents for our city's economic growth.
It's a state-of-the-art river substation from
Entergy New Orleans,
empowering development ranging from the latest
phase of a world-class convention center to
revitalized urban neighborhoods.
"Entergy
is investing millions in critical infrastructure,
so we can meet the challenges of our communities
future," says Dan Packer, President &
CEO of Entergy New Orleans.

While in New Orleans East, the largest coffee
producing facility in the country is now expanding
- and creating more local, well-paid jobs
- thanks to another new substation.
And because technology drives change, Entergy
is also funding computers and software for
a call center learning lab at Delgado.
"A
Entergy our employees understand that working
together in our community generates more than
power," says Packer. It generates solutions."
It's all part of the Challenge to Change,
from Entergy New Orleans, and WWL-TV, Channel
4.
