The University of Alabama's crystal, $30,000 BCS trophy was shattered after a player's father tripped and knocked over the display table.
The trophy had been on display in the Mal Moore Athletic Facility halls. The father's foot apparently got caught on a rug, causing him to fall onto the table.
University officials say they will immediately begin take steps to replace the trophy.
