A convicted felon nearly beat President Barack Obama in West Virginia’s Democratic primary, the Washington Post says.
Keith Judd, serving a 17 1/2 –year prison sentence for extortion, picked up 72,000 votes to Obama’s 106,000 and would have qualified for delegates is he had anyone sign up to be one for him, the paper says.
This isn’t Judd’s first foray into national politics, either. He apparently ran in the 2008 Idaho Democratic primary.
