Ellis Park in Kentucky is home to many thoroughbred horses battling it out on the track for greatness, but for just one week out of the year it's instead a chance for pint-sized glory.
Dozens of dachshunds are competing for the title of top racing dog at the track this week, with the Wiener Dog Races kicking off on Sunday, as 14 News reports (complete with ridiculously cute video and pictures).
Officials say the Wiener Dog Races have become a huge draw for the track, which opened up its season on the Fourth of July, and attract hundreds of people from all across the midwest.
The top dog will be decided Saturday during the final championship race.
