Moondog, the beloved mascot of the Cleveland Cavaliers, is on injured reserve.  The cause? Apparently, a blow from former New Orleans Hornet forward David West.

"Moondog needed to be taken to a local hospital after suffering an eye injury during a pre-game play fight with Indiana Pacers forward David West at The Q on Wednesday night. The Cavalier canine was later released and a team spokesman said he should be fine," writes Tom Reed, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The pair mixed it up in a playful pre-game brawl, which was all fun and games until West accidentally landed a punch. An apologetic West wished Moondog a speedy recovery.
