Indiana Jones has had his last adventure, if George Lucas has anything to say about it.
Franchise producer Frank Marshall told Collider that the co-creator of Harrison Ford's most iconic role isn't interested in another installment.
"He isn’t [hungry to do another Indiana Jones]. And he’s obviously passing the baton to my wife," said Marshall, whose wife Kathleen Kennedy was recently named co-chair and successor to Lucas at Lucasfilm.
Despite reports in December that Lucas and Spielberg were brainstorming ideas for another film, Marshall said the critically panned Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is "the last hurrah."
“I know that yes, we talk about it, but there’s no idea, there’s no MacGuffin,” he said.
