A new report from News Hour has eye-opening numbers for what Americans have faced during the recent recession.
According to the report, "The Federal Reserve household survey shows the median net worth of a U.S. family dropped by nearly 40 percent, from $126,000 in 2007 to $77,000 in 2010. "
The main cause? The collapse of the housing market, but the report also saw median wages decrease dramatically since 2007.
Who has this impacted the most? The middle class.
