What exactly is Drew Brees' comment on the reports that he is unwilling to sign his franchise tender? No comment, more or less is his response.

According to WWL Radio's Kristian Garic , via text messages the quarterback said he won't comment whether he will sign his franchise tender, deferring all questions to the Saints.

As to the report that Brees is "livid" over being franchised by the Saints, again, according to Garic, a source close to Brees says the quarterback is optimistic that a long-term deal can be hammered out between both parties.

July 15 is the magic date for the Saints and Brees. If it isn't done, Brees can either sign the franchise tag deal or hold out until a deal is completed.
