Police are searching for the man caught on camera robbing a casino at gunpoint.

According to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to the Big Wheels Travel Center and Casino on LA Highway 316 on Oct. 6 around 3:15 a.m. to investigate an armed robbery.

Earlier that morning, an unidentified man entered the casino, disarmed the security guard, then forced the guard and a casino worker into the office area. According to police, the armed robber then demanded money, which he was given, and fled the scene with several thousand dollars and the guard's firearm.

Police describe the suspect as a man around 5'6-5'8" tall weighing about 300-to-350 lbs. He was weaing a black sweatshirt, black pants, black and white shoes, a brown hat and a black backpack which appeared to be designed to hold a laptop computer.
