The Jefferson Parish Council meets tomorrow morning at 10 on the West Bank. The big question is, will embattled Parish President Mike Yenni be there?
That’s the topic of this week’s Commentary by Eyewitness News Political Analyst and Gambit columnist Clancy DuBos.
It’s past time for Mike Yenni to face the music. Or rather, face the Parish Council and citizens about his sexting scandal.
If Yenni thinks he can just do his job, and somehow all this will blow over, he is delusional. And whoever is advising him to say that is not serving the interests of Jefferson Parish, or Yenni.
Yenni is expected to appear at tomorrow’s parish council meeting. If he does, he should answer questions from the council and the public. He owes everyone the whole truth, and a thorough explanation. Truth is, he can’t explain this scandal, and he can’t just work his way through it.
Meanwhile, the chorus of people calling for Yenni’s resignation grows louder.
