(NEW ORLEANS) — 2700 people were without power in the St. Roch area, an Entergy New Orleans spokesperson confirmed Saturday (Dec. 15) night.

Residents in the area said they lost electricity around 10 p.m. As of 11 p.m., it had still not come back on. By early Sunday, power was restored, according to Entergy's outage map.

An Entergy New Orleans spokesperson confirmed the outage and said crews were patrolling the power lines in the area to determine the cause.

Juliet Roberston is a resident in the area and said she was surprised to lose power on a clear day without wind or rain.

"It's getting to be intolerable," Roberston said. "It's amazing to me and very concerning."

The cause of the outage is currently unknown.
