A drunk driver crashed into a Louisiana State Trooper's vehicle on Interstate 10 Sunday morning.
According to State Police, the trooper parked their vehicle at the scene of a crash on I-10 West in St. Charles Parish. The vehicle was in the left lane with its emergency lights activeated in order to protect the crash scene according to LSP.
Around 4 a.m., a Nissan Altima driven by 30-year-old Terrell Guillory drove towards the crash site at a high rate of speed and crashed into the trooper's car. The State trooper ran away from his unit before the crash and was not harmed.
Guillory suffered minor injuries according to LSP and was taken to a local hospital. After he was released, Guillory was arrested for DWI (second offense) and reckless operation.
