There will be no trial for alleged sex crimes against a Ponchatoula doctor after the Tangipahoa Parish district attorney's office determined there was 'insufficient evidence,' to bring charges against Dr. Gregory Allen.

In addition, the alleged victim did not show up when the case was slated to be presented to a grand jury.

"As in any case, we do our due diligence, investigate ourselves and try to look at the facts, and see whether or not we can prove that a crime was committed to the level that we need to, which is beyond a reasonable doubt," said District Attorney Scott Perrilloux.

Doctor Allen, a family physician in Ponchatoula was arrested in October. He was accused of three counts of sexual battery involving a patient.
