HAMMOND - Police are looking for two men who robbed the First Bank and Trust in the 1300 block of South Morrison Blvd. Tuesday, shortly before noon.
Police said one of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The two men took an undisclosed amount of money and fled westbound on Robin Street.
One of the suspects is described as a black man, 5'6'' tall, between 30 to 40 years old, with a light complexion and small build. He wore a black long sleeve polo style shirt with white stripes, blue jeans and a white baseball hat at the time of the robbery.
The other suspect is described as a black man, 6' tall, between 20-30 years old, medium complexion, with a medium build and a beard. He wore a black short sleeve shirt, dark pants and a black baseball hat at the time of the robbery.
The search for the suspects is continuing. Police said the processing of the crime scene was still ongoing as of 1 p.m.
