WASHINGTON PARISH – An inmate who went scaped while on his work assignment on Friday night is back in jail after being captured in Bogalusa.
According to the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office, 30-year-old Timothy John Williams was captured Saturday night around 11 p.m.
The last known address for Williams was the 400 block of Huron Avenue in Bogalusa.
Williams was being held on a $3,500 bond for a theft charge and was assigned to clean and perform other chores in and around the jail. Sometime during the night, he was able to escape, the sheriff’s office said.
According to the sheriff’s office, although Williams was jailed on a non-violent offense, anyone who encounters him should use caution. Anyone who has information about Williams’ whereabouts is urged to call the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office at 985-839-3434.
Sheriff Randy Seal said the search for Williams extended throughout Washington Parish and beyond.
