NEW ORLEANS -- The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans' technical issues affected customer service for the majority of the day Monday.

S&WB officials said customer service centers in Algiers and on St. Joseph Street will be open and ready for service Tuesday.

The utility company reported a temporary outage Monday morning impacting their computer and phone systems.

S&WB sent a press release around 9:30 a.m. saying due to an issue at the computer center, the S&WB's phone and computer capabilities were temporarily offline, including 52WATER (529-2837.)

Additionally, both locations, 625 St. Joseph Street and the Customer Service Center in Algiers, 4021 Behrman Place, will not be able to serve customers.

The S&WB said they expect to back online by noon, and they are advising customers to wait until after that time to take care of business with the Sewerage and Water Board.
