NEW ORLEANS - Police say two men were hurt and a third killed in three separate shootings across New Orleans overnight.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, the first shooting happened around 9:23 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of Franklin Avenue. Officers arriving at the scene found a man with multiple gunshot wounds.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene and he was transported to University Medical Center where he later died.

Police say the second shooting happened around 1:24 a.m. Tuesday in the 2400 block of Bienville Street. Police say one man was transported to University Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the thigh. Police have not released any additional details about this shooting.

The third shooting happened hours later near the intersection of Gentilly Boulevard and Belfort Street. One man with a gunshot wound was transported to University Medical Center around 4:13 a.m.

The fourth shooting happened around 9:19 a.m. near the intersection of Josephine and Clara streets. One man was found dead at the scene.
