NEW ORLEANS -- Four people were shot Monday night in three separate incidents across Metro New Orleans.
Two men were killed and two others remain in the hospital.
Around 8 p.m. Monday, a 26-year-old man was found suffering a gunshot wound to the chest outside a home in the 2400 block of Dreux Avenue in Gentilly Terrace.
Less than an hour later, NOPD responded to a shooting Uptown where a 47-year-old was shot multiple times near the intersection of Lyons and Constance streets.
Both men were transported to the hospital where they later died.
Shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday morning, police were called to the intersection of Louisa and Almonaster streets where a man and a woman had been shot. The man was hit in the face, and the woman was shot in the leg. The two victims were taken to the hospital. Their conditions remain unknown at this time.
These shootings come just before the annual Night Out Against Crime, which is held on a Tuesday in October by neighborhood associations across the city.
