NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 1400 block of Tupelo Street that left one man dead.
Officers responded to the shooting around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive man lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, further investigation revealed that the man was a resident of the area and detectives believe that the shooting possibly stemmed from an argument.
Investigation into the shooting is ongoing. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will release the man's name upon completion of an autopsy and notification of family.
