NEW ORLEANS - It's one of the city's most luxurious hotels and now it's marking New Orleans' Tricentennial with a special window display.
Ritz Carlton workers decorated the hotel's windows with more than 800 balloons as a "visual salute" for New Orleans' birthday. The theme is Three Centuries on Celebrations.
"It's important because it's such a milestone that a lot of cities in the United States don't get to have. It's really distinct and different and we wanted to celebrate it in a visual way and we couldn't be happier about it," Annie Jones, communications manager of the Ritz Carlton, said.
The hotel is also marking the Tricentennial with a special cocktail with both French and Spanish ingredients.
