NEW ORLEANS -- City Council District B candidate Seth Bloom said late Saturday that he will not concede to Jay Banks, noting that 131 votes separated him from victory.

"I'm going to wait until Tuesday and let a judge make that decision," Bloom said to cheers from his supporters at The Ace Hotel in the Central Business District, The Mid-City Messenger reported.

Banks garnered 8,016 votes, while Bloom collected 7,885 votes.

He referenced issues with absentee ballots, The Mid-City Messenger reported.
