NEW ORLEANS – Police say a missing K-9 who escaped from an officer’s home in Pontchartrain Park Thursday morning has been found.
Officials said around midnight, the dog named ‘Spike’, was put in his kennel by the officer’s partner. When the officer returned later that morning, police said the dog was not in his kennel.
Police added the dog pulled part of his kennel apart, making a small hole that allowed him to get out.
Police said several members of the NOPD Canine Unit came to search the area around the home.
