Woman sexually assaulted, robbed at Reserve home, sheriff's office says

The woman tried to run into her home and lock the door, however a second black man, also armed with a gun and wearing a mask, appeared.

ST. JOHN – The St. John the Baptist Sheriff’s Office is investigating a sexual assault and robbery that occurred last week at a home in Reserve.

The incident occurred during the early morning hours of Thursday, March 15 in the 400 block of Northwest Third Street. The sheriff’s office says a woman just arrived home and was walking to her door when she was approached by a black man dressed in black clothes and wearing a black ski mask. He was also armed with a gun.

The woman tried to run into her home and lock the door, however a second black man, also armed with a gun and wearing a mask, appeared. According to the sheriff’s office, the two men forced their way into the woman’s home, robbed her of items and sexually assaulted her before fleeing.
