TERRYTOWN – A man has been arrested after stealing equipment from the Terrytown Volunteer Fire Department station and pointing a gun at a room of firefighters, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office says 26-year-old Sean Ulbrich was arrested at his Belle Chasse home on February 23 for aggravated burglary following a search of his home. Some of the stolen equipment was recovered along with two firearms, the sheriff's office says.
The incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. on February 8 when Ulbrich entered the fire station, located in the 300 block of Heritage Avenue, and took a number of tools and other equipment. While inside the station, Ulbrich took out a gun and pointed it at a door leading to the living quarters after hearing movement from inside another room, the sheriff’s office says.
A video of the incident was released by the sheriff’s office in an effort to identify the suspect.
Investigators processed the scene and were able to recover forensic evidence that led to the identification of Ulbrich.
