Mayor Mitch Landrieu is set to meet with Mayor-Elect LaToya Cantrell Tuesday.

Landrieu has already promised to work with his successor for the next six months until Cantrell is inaugurated in May. The two leaders are expected to talk about the city’s budget, infrastructure, Sewerage & Water Board woes, crime, firefighters pension and more.

According to the New Orleans Advocate, Landrieu is expected to give Cantrell a clear picture of the city’s operations so the incoming mayor can hit the ground running on her first day.

Landrieu has said that there was no organizational chart when he first took over. He hopes Tuesday’s meeting will allow Cantrell to be effective and successful.
