Fish & Game: City Park's Big Bass Rodeo

Bragging rights are on the line at the Annual City Park Big Bass Rodeo.

Just weeks ago, Broc Corcoran pulled a 9.3 lbs. largemouth bass from the City Park lagoons, the largest ever recorded in the park. Because it was live released, it could be recaptured this Saturday.

The 71st Annual Big Bass Rodeo and Fishtival will bring hundreds of anglers to compete in five categories by species and age divisions. Fishing can be from the bank or in boats.

Registration begins at 6 a.m. and weigh-in closes at 11 a.m.

The 9 a.m. to noon Fishtival will have awards presentations, live music, casting lessons, educational exhibits, a fishing tackle flea markey an the popular Mardi Gras Tackle Toss.
