Cam Jordan calls out Big Ben's HOF resume

Cam Jordan never misses an opportunity to get into an opposing QB's head.

New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan isn’t a quiet guy, or someone with many secrets. He’s opinionated and wears his heart on his sleeve. Whether it’s nicknaming a left tackle he doesn’t like as “Speedbump McGee” or shipping wine bottles in his own name – nice bottles of wine, that are hard to come by, Jordan tells us – to opponents, he rarely leaves his thoughts in doubt.

Jordan’s big talk extends to Hall of Fame quarterbacks. He knows one when he’s seen one, having shared his career with Drew Brees. When Jordan surveys his next opponent, he doesn’t see a Hall of Famer on the opposing sideline. In fact, he’d even put embattled New York Giants passer Eli Manning over Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers, per a video posted by Simon Chester of SB Nation:

Jordan questions Roethlisberger’s qualifications in the modern passing era, asking how the Steelers quarterback’s passing stats compare to Phillip Rivers and whether his two Super Bowl victories are more impressive than what Eli Manning accomplished. Considering Roethlisberger figures to compete with both of those guys, Brees, Tom Brady, and Aaron Rodgers when he retires and becomes Hall of Fame-eligible, Jordan may actually be the one to earn a last laugh – at least for whether Roethlisberger gets in on his first ballot.
