Chris Franklin - WWL-TV Meteorologist

A very warm and humid day with a mix of sun and clouds. 20% chance for a few showers, and there is a marginal risk of a few severe storms on the Northshore and areas west. The great risk today is much farther north in Arkansas and we could potentially see quite an outbreak of severe weather there. This is because of a more active upper disturbance. Rain chances will increase tomorrow to around 60% as a cold front moves into the area. On Sunday the entire are is under a marginal risk for some severe weather. The cold front will linger through the night Sunday and finally get a push south by Monday morning. Highs will drop into the low 70s for Monday...milder, but still above the normal high. Shower/storm chances increase again Thursday ahead of a stronger cold front possibly bringing our temperatures back to normal by Friday.
