New Orleans Hornets forward David West left Friday night's game at Minnesota with what appeared to be a sprained ankle after stepping on the foot of Timberwolves' guard Corey Brewer on a move to the goal.
West led the Hornets in scoring with 14 points in the first half but was not expected back.
He remained in the game to shoot free throws from the play but then limped to the locker room.
Immediately following the game, coach Jeff Bower said he hadn't been updated on West's condition. The Hornets play at Denver Saturday night.
