The Hornets have traded guard Devin Brown to the Chicago Bulls for center Aaron Gary in a move that shaves a little money off the team’s cap number.

The trade will save the club about $100,000 but still leaves the club over the league’s $69.9 million threshold.

The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 18.
