Remi Ayodele went all Reggie Bush on Wednesday night, tweeting, "Been a fun ride NOLA!!!"
It was vague and yet, it captured the attention of those who follow the Saints because he was a starter last season, filling up the middle of the defensive line.
Thursday morning, the vagueness was gone.
Ayodele tweeted, "WHODAT Nation thanks for all the love and memories.. I will be bck down to NOLA on my free time.. best of luck to the saints this year.."
Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports that Ayodele's deal is for three years for $9 million.
So that's two starters gone from the 2010 team if you include Reggie Bush.
Ayodele will be missed. The move gives Shaun Rogers a stranglehold on the nose tackle spot. Rogers signed with New Orleans in March before the lockout began.
