Good morning EOSB legion. Sorry for yesterday's lack of linkage. Got behind the eight ball with flights and then going straight to the Saints facility followed by Fan Chat. I know. No excuse.
Y'all deserve better. We forever strive to help y'all out.
So let's get to it. Grab the beignets and chicory. It's linkage time.
James Henderson, a.k.a Jim Henderson the voice of the Saints, has watched Saints Head Coach Sean Payton for four years now and he believes he has seen the leader mature in his ways.
The Saints are dominating in ways unseen in this city in some time, if ever. And, according to the Associated Press' Brett Martel, they're doing it by spreading the ball around. Eighteen guys have scored touchdowns.
They're also doing it with a cast of veterans, some of whom they've brought back. Including Mike McKenzie, whom the Saints brought back on Monday.
Gerry Callahan of the Boston Herald says Monday night's game amounts to a playoff game in the regular season. The Saints, he believes, will give the Pats a true test.
GateHouse News Service, on the other hand, thinks the Pats might be catching New Orleans at the right time. Why? Because they say the Saints have played a weak schedule.
Sheldon Mickles of the Baton Rouge Advocate says the tests are about to get tougher for the Saints, beginning with Monday's game against New England.
On the other hand, Brian Allee-Walsh with NewOrleans.com believes the Patriots won't blow over the Saints.
And over at the Times-Picayune, Nakia Hogan writes that the Saints didn't have to go far to bolster their secondary while his colleague John DeShazier says the Saints are trying to go where the Pats have already been.
Friend of the EOSB Pat Yasinskas of ESPN.com says that what's impressive about the Saints' 10-0 start is the amount of injuries that have happened to the Saints.
Yasinskas also takes a look at how close the Saints are to breaking a franchise record.
SI.com's Peter King still has the Saints No. 1.
