Welcome to the Christmas Eve edition of the EOSB's Saints Linkage. Not a whole lot out there today, but enough for me to throw some links together for you.

Song on my mind right now: Empire State of Mind by Jay-Z

Early in the season, the Saints' offense was destroying opponents early, scoring at will and putting other teams on the defensive. Not so much anymore. The Saints have trailed after the first quarter in six of the past eight games.

Brian Allee-Walsh of NewOrleans.com writes about the concussions a few of the Saints suffered against Dallas.

Glenn Guilbeau of Gannett News Service said the task is pretty simple for the Saints - win one and earn the NFC's No. 1 seed.

Brett Martel of the Associated Press writes about the Saints' offensive problems.

Pat Kirwin of NFL.com says that playoff seeds don't matter. Say what? Only one No. 1 seed has won the Super Bowl this decade.

Nakia Hogan of NOLA.com and the T-P also writes about the Saints offense and its slow play lately.

Mike Triplett of NOLA.com and the T-P tells us that safety Usama Young had sports hernia surgery this past week.

Pat Yasinskas of ESPN.com says that the Saints are scoring at a torrid pace.
