We tweeted this out Wednesday night as soon as we saw it and by now, you’ve likely seen the Direct TV ad with Brothers Manning.
But if you haven’t, pour yourself your favorite drink, take a seat in your recliner and be prepared to be stunned with tremendous acting, great dialogue and Manning hilarity.
The Mannings and Direct TV have teamed up to produce “Football Cops,” their spin on the old Cop TV show.
I’m not sure which line is my favorite, but it just might be this exchange between C.J. Hunter (Eli) and Mike Tahoe (Peyton):
Tahoe: “I guess nobody told him that justice was a team sport.”
Hunter: “What does that mean?”
Tahoe: “He knows what it means.”
Seriously. That’s brilliant.
Also brilliant? The tag at the bottom of the page proclaiming “This program contains mature themes, violence and adult language and may not be suitable for younger audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.”
This is well worth your 2 minutes, 38 seconds, even if just to see Eli Manning's mustache and Archie Manning's cameo.
