One dead, child and two others injured in Algiers shooting

A 19-year-old man is dead and three others, including an 11-month-old child are injured following a late night shooting in Algiers, according to NOPD spokesperson Shereese Harper.

The incident occurred Friday at 11 p.m. in the 3300 block of Preston Place.

Harper said police responding to the scene found the 19-year-old dead and two 20-year-olds shot. An 11-month-old child was also injured.

The names were not being released pending family notification.
