NEW ORLEANS - Thursday night, while riding a horse in the Muses parade, homicide detective Andrew Waldron had a question for a 'person of interest' along the route.
The five-year-veteran had elaborately planned to pop the question to his long time girlfriend, Tara Myers, who was in the stands for the parade.
Officer Waldron arranged to have members of both his and Myers' families nearby, and, while passing the area, he stopped, dismounted, and called his girlfriend out to the street, where he proposed.
According to the NOPD, Myers said 'yes.'
The two first met when they were students at the University of Alabama.
