This venerable Metairie krewe is named for the French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. It was founded in 1980, and its parade features several special touches, carrying out its French military theme, including horse-drawn floats and carriages and a special tandem float, “Waterloo” which shoots confetti into the air. Check out some video of that special float, on the krewe’s web site.
