This new krewe, also the city’s newest all-female parading organization, made its premiere in 2012, to rave reviews. It is named after the Greek goddess of night.
Channel 4 anchor Karen Swensen was the krewe’s first celebrity guest and this year meteorologist Laura Buchtel, as well as businesswoman and Fleurty Girl entrepreneur Lauren Thom will be along for the ride, as celebrity guests. The club boasts more than 900 members and more than 26 floats in just its second year. Its satirical theme will be held secret until parade night.
