This year, Lyra is moving its parade to Fat Tuesday, rolling behind the Covington Lions Club on Mardi Gras. Lyra, which began in Mandeville in 2011, was originally an all-female club. They recently voted to open up the membership to men as well. The parade is organized by a group called the Stargazing Society. Its playful theme this year is “Girls and Guys Just Want to Have Fun.”
