The official parade season in Orleans Parish kicks off with the krewe of Oshun. The krewe was founded in 1997, and is named after the Afro-Carribbean goddess of fountains, love, wealth and religion. This year, the parade will feature 18 floats and the Grammy award-winning Rebirth Brass Band will ride as grand marshals.
