A fixture on the Wednesday night before Fat Tuesday for many years, Thor now parades on Sunday afternoon, and this year it’s rolling early because of the Super Bowl. This krewe’s mythical namesake is not from Greek or Roman lore, but from Norse mythology, and the god of thunder and rain. Founded in 1974, Thor welcomes male and female members.
