Backstreet Cultural Museum keeps culture of Mardi Gras Indians alive
And while many pictures are poignant reminders of what we’ve lost, here is a delightful reminder of what we had and still have: rising star Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews and his cousin Glen David Andrews appear in this photograph from early in their careers. You can see Shorty to the far right holding that tuba, which was about as tall as he was, and Glen David to the left with his patented Trombone.
