Inside the Rex den: The history and floats of N.O.'s most celebrated parade

Inside the Lieutenant Room are rows of pictures of the past Kings of Carnival, the name given to Rex. The identity of Rex is kept a secret until his arrival on the river on Lundi Gras, the day before Mardi Gras.
A common mistake is to call Rex the King of Rex. That is redundant, as rex translates to king from Latin.
