An all-star fundraiser for Charmaine Neville is taking place on Sunday at the Westwego Farmers Market.

The Charmaine Neville Tribute and Benefit will feature Dr. John, Marcia Ball, Kermit Ruffins and even Charmaine herself, just to name a few.

As Meg Farris reported last month, Charmaine Neville was recently diagnosed with Cadasil Syndrome, which affects the brain.

All funds raised at the benefit will go to pay for future treatment to help Charmaine's recovery.

Event organizer, Cleo Banquer, singer and the master of ceremonies, P.E. Gilligan, and Charmaine Neville's son, Damion Neville, were in the studio here with more information on this great benefit.

Tickets to the June 24 event at 484 Sala Ave. are $10 and can be purchased at the gate. It starts at 11 a.m. with the Red Hot Brass Band playing throughout the grounds and the concert begins at noon and will go until 6 p.m.

We were lucky to get a preview in the studio of some of the great music you'll hear on Sunday from Damion Neville and the band.
