NEW ORLEANS - In a culture steeped in seafood, Burgerpalooza is a refreshing change of pace for meat lovers, though there is a veggie burger.

It's also a great way to raise funds for a very special local charity.

The fifth annual celebration will benefit the Miracle League of Greater New Orleans.

Phil de Gruy, owner of Phil's Grill, which sponsors Burgerpalooza and Chef Justin Jones were in the kitchen on Wednesday to talk about the event.

The cookoff will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at The Fly behind the Audubon Zoo.The Burgerpalooza Bash is held May 18 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Southport Hall. For more information, go to http://phils-grill.com/Burgerpalooza2012.html.
