NEW ORLEANS - Flooding from Hurricane Isaac impacted thousands across the metro area.

The need remains great - as many are just beginning their road to recovery.

The United Way is helping many of them, and Channel 4 is part of that with the "Concert 4 Flood Relief."

One of the programs that our fundraiser will benefit is the United Way's 2-1-1 help line.

Richard LaPlatt, programs and services director for VIA Link, was in the studio to explain some of the services it provides.

The concert is Friday at 8 p.m. and live from Tipitina's Uptown.

Featured acts include Mia Borders and the Stooges Brass Band.

Mike Hoss and Laura Buchtel will be hosting it on our sister station, WUPL 54.

You can also be part of the live audience. Donate a non-perishable food item at the door and get free admission, starting at 7:00 p.m.
