Marci Schramm, the executive director of French Quarter Festival, Inc., gave WWL-TV an overview of the event.
She wanted to remind revelers that there are no outside beverages or coolers, large containers and glass bottles are not allowed on festival sites and pets are prohibited in festival areas.
Also, the French Quarter Festival Shuttle is running from a special Park and Ride site located on O'Keefe between Poydras and Canal. It's $10 for all-day parking and the shuffle offers free round-trip rides.
