NEW ORLEANS - The family picnic or cookout is the traditional way to spend your Independence Day holiday.
But New Orleans is noted for it's citywide celebrations.

The 22nd "Go 4th on the River" New Orleans Independence Day celebration is Wednesday along the riverfront starting at noon.
