NEW ORLEANS - Friday is the big day - the gates of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival open for 2012.
There's an impressive slate of headliners performing this year, including Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles, and The Beach Boys.
A lot of our local favorites will take the stage, too.
One of them was in the studio on Thursday morning - Kristin Diable.
If you want to catch Diable with her band "The City" at Jazz Fest, they'll be on the Lagniappe Stage on Saturday from 4:40 p.m. until 5:40 p.m.

WWL-TV got a preview performance from Diable and her bass player Charles Lumar.
