If you love Louisiana seafood and you are looking for something the whole family can enjoy this weekend, the Louisiana Catfish Festival is the way to go.
The festival was founded in 1975 and has since become one of the Des Allemands area's most popular attractions and it's free to go!
There will be wonderful local food, rides, music and even a 5K race and a catfish eating contest!
Representatives from the festival were in the studio with more information on Thursday.
The festival is Friday from 5:30 p.m. until 11 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
It takes place at the St. Gertrude the Great Catholic Church in Des Allemands.
